Geoff started learning about the art of wedding photography in 1965 with Maurice Andrew, a very well known Wedding Photographer in Oldham of that period, much of these basic skills being passed on today for example in particular the speed of taking the group photos. Worked on a casual basis for Broadway Studios of Oldham and later in Middleton also a period in the 70's for a South Wales studio in Swansea. Returning to Oldham to work on his own, building up a reputation with the help of Jane in the late 80's, as Jane & Geoff Photographers, adding the name WeddingDayPhotos.co.uk in 1994. At this time, Emma was taken on as an assistant, learning the art of wedding photography.

We have taken a variety of weddings, in many different faiths English, Asian, Middle Eastern to Russian and now French.

Wedding Day Photos has been providing beautiful photographs to happy couples for many years. With over 30 years of experience of wedding, commercial, Public Relations and architectural photography, founder Geoffrey Stemp BIPP works in both medium format, and in recent years, digital. Geoffrey has now moved to the Pays de la Loire area of France but likes to keep a hand in the business and still does the occasional wedding for couples wishing to tie the knot in France.

Edwin Stemp MA, Geoff's son, has been working as a commercial photographer for over 9 years, specialising in mainly Fashion and Advertising photography as well as over 15 years prior assisting his father on weddings. His most recent work can be viewed at HighContrast. Edwin now runs the business and has offices in West Didsbury serving Manchester and Cheshire areas.

Jane Harvey BSC BA BIPP and Emma Burrows-Hankin BA, have been working alongside Geoff and Ed for 20+ years working on both medium format and digital. The team cover the NorthWest, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, West Sussex and northern France.
